We all know that eyes are very important for us but why do we tend to take them for granted. We have been to busy taking care of our skin, hair, and other parts of our body but we have put aside eye care most of the time.

The most common problems we have encountered with eye care are usually crow’s feet and dark circles. These eye problems can easily be remedied. In my research I have found the following eye care tips that I found to be quite helpful. Hope these tips can also help you.

The most used part of our body is the eyes. Have you noticed that you get migraines from driving especially during the night when you encounter bright lights from other cars? I usually have them. Tip 3 – Drink Lots of Water

Our body has defense mechanism that every time we are dehydrated our body retains some water thus resulting to puffiness. Drinking eight or more glasses of water a day can help detoxify our body.

Tip 4 – Eye Exercise

Yes! There is also some form of exercise for the eyes. Exercising your eyes can supply enough oxygen and can make them function much better. I even find these exercises relaxing. I find time in between work to close my eyes for 30 seconds then I move my eyeballs around. I move my eyeballs from left to right and then up and down. Another exercise I would perform to prevent blurred vision is to hold a pencil at arms length and slowly bring it in towards my nose. Be sure to keep your eyes focused on the pencil.

Tip 5 – Avoid Excessive Rubbing

Our eyes are one of the most sensitive parts of our body. The best thing you should do in taking care of your eyes is to avoid rubbing them. This action will only make your eyes more irritated. The best thing you should do is to blink them. If some alien matter comes into your eyes, it is best to wash them with milk. Milk is a natural cleanser that will not cause further irritation in your eyes.

Tip 6 – Use Sunglasses

During sunny days I make sure that I wear sunglasses when I venture out in the daylight. This will help shield my eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. While you are resting it help to put cucumber slices or tea bags under your eyes. These can prevent dark circles and wrinkles from appearing around your eyes.

Cleaning Your Cat’s Eyes

Dilute some baby shampoo with water at a solution 1 part shampoo and 20 parts water. With a cotton ball, gauze pad or cotton swab soaked in this solution gently wipe away any discharge or dirt residue by massaging the eyeball. Clean around the edges of the eye thoroughly. Once you have sufficiently cleaned the area, wipe away the shampoo with clean water and cotton ball or gauze pad.

If there are any formations of discharge residue inside the eyelids themselves, drip sterile saline eye drops from above the eye and carefully remove with a tissue or cotton ball.

Apply Medication to Your Cat’s Eyes

If you are giving your cat eye drops, gently lift your cat’s head up and apply one or two drops of the eye medication. Space multiple treatments out by around 10 minutes, this will allow the first treatment to absorb.
